1-Peru Sol y Cafe Co-op

This Peruvian coffee is from the oldest region in South America; Cajabamba. Founded in 2008, Sol y Cafe, stands for "Solidarity and Coffee". They are currently 100% Fair Trade certified,  80% Organic Certified and 55% Rain forest Alliance certified. The average age of the coffee plants among Sol y Cafe's producers is 10 years old, the cooperative boasts 1075 members in 2017, 136 of those women and they are successfully exporting to 11 countries.


Tasting notes:

Medium body & acidity with surprising hints of sweet raisins, cacao nibs, passion fruit, red plum and toasted walnut.
