With a lifelong passion for all things food and beverage, it was only natural that I would fall in love with coffee. Like many Gen Xers, I grew up drinking grocery store coffee and eventually developed an all-too-familiar relationship with the “Mermaid” — if you know, you know.

In 2009, I joined the Cafe Moto team, where I truly cut my teeth on coffee. Driven by curiosity and a determination to learn everything about this fascinating beverage, I dove in headfirst.

Sixteen years later, that curiosity still fuels me. The difference now is that I get to share my passion for coffee with you — and help you earn your own certification along the way.

My name is Olivia, and simply put, I love coffee. I never imagined you could make a career out of living and breathing your way through COFFEE! My earliest memory of tasting coffee was stealing my grandma’s coffee all sweetened with white table sugar and cream. Now all of these years later it is the beverage that fuels me everyday.

7 years ago, I landed a job at Cafe Moto as a Part Time/Weekend Cafe employee, which is still something I get a laugh out of. Within weeks I became Full Time, and within the next few years I would become Cafe Manager and have a leg up in the Cafe Moto Catering world.

With our coffee being of such high demand, not to mention quality, my Barista skills were well refined. I looked and still look at every drink as an opportunity to practice pouring. Learning as I was going and asking questions all along the way. I was given the opportunity to take passions to the next level and get AST certified.

Leaving the white table sugar, the cream and the Cafe world behind me. A new certification in hand, I am ready to turn to the next chapter of my coffee career and begin sharing my knowledge and skills with those around me!
