Kona peaberry coffee beans are a rare type of coffee bean from the Kona region of Hawaii. They are prized for their unique, single, round shape and the belief that this structure results in a more complex and flavorful cup of coffee.

The single bean receives all the nutrients from the coffee cherry which concentrates the flavor. Which results in a richer, smoother taste with less acidity and a more intense aroma compared to regular Kona beans.

Kona peaberry beans offer a rich and complex flavor profile with common notes including: caramel, honey, maple syrup, and vanilla along with hints of cherry, plum, passion fruit, and general citrus fruit can be present.

They are often referred to as the “champagne of Kona coffee”.
