Supporting the CASIL Cooperative

In 2009,Twelve members of the reputable CASIL Cooperative in northern Peru, each with many years of experience growing coffee, decided a higher standard was needed in order to receive the higher prices.

Care, oversight, education, openness and desire combined for a wonderful result. They have become an example for other growers by demonstrating the market potential of high-quality coffee and the power of creating direct trade relationships with Fair Trade roasters.

We have been buying their reliable, consistent, flavorful coffee since 2009 and we are still buying it today. CASIL finished shipping its 2021 harvest the first week of January and the 2022 harvest will start shipping in June of this year.
